Former Newton High School star Ashton Pennamon and the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters were defeated 76-71 by the Lander Bearcats in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 14.

The matchup, held at 2:30 p.m. in Finis Horne Arena, marked the Railsplitters’ first tournament game against Lander.
