The Atlanta Dream announced on August 1, 2025, that guard Kamiah Smalls has joined the team on a seven-day contract.

Smalls, who stands at 5-foot-10 and played college basketball at James Madison University, was drafted by the Indiana Fever as the 28th overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft. She has previously played in ten WNBA games with both Indiana and Minnesota, where she averaged 3.1 points, 2.0 assists, and 1.3 rebounds over an average of 13.4 minutes per game.

Her professional experience extends internationally. Most recently, Smalls played for Umana Reyer Venezia in Italy’s Serie A1 league and also competed in the EuroLeague. In Italy’s domestic league last season, she averaged nearly ten points per game while shooting over sixty-three percent from inside the arc and more than forty-one percent from three-point range. During her ten EuroLeague appearances with Venezia, she averaged almost eleven points per game on fifty-eight percent shooting inside the arc and thirty-five percent from long distance.

Smalls’ performance earned her a Eurobasket.com All-Italian League Honorable Mention as well as selection to the All-Imports Team. She contributed to Venezia’s Supercup victory and helped lead them to a league finals appearance.

In addition to her time in Italy, Smalls spent two seasons with Villeneuve d’Ascq in France and helped secure a French LFB championship in 2024. She is currently playing for Galatasaray Cagdas Factoring Istanbul in Turkey’s KBSL.
