Rep. Mike Collins, serving in the U.S. Congress for Georgia’s 10th district since 2023, has made recent statements on various legislative issues through his social media platform.

On May 13, 2025, Rep. Collins expressed support for ending taxes on suppressors and short-barreled rifles (SBRs). In his tweet, he urged action by stating “We can end the tax on suppressors and SBRs. Let’s get it done.”

Later that day, Rep. Collins announced his leadership role among House Republicans in advocating for a task force to address staged accident fraud. He addressed Attorney General Pam Bondi directly in his request to investigate and prosecute those responsible for such frauds. He emphasized the need for accountability by tweeting “Today, I led a group of House Republicans in asking @AGPamBondi to establish a task force to investigate and prosecute those who commit staged accident fraud. These fraudsters need to be held accountable for making every one of us less safe on the roads.”

In another post shortly thereafter, Rep. Collins extended gratitude to several colleagues who joined him in efforts aimed at reducing insurance costs and enhancing road safety. He acknowledged their collaboration by tweeting “Thank you @Lancegooden, @RepTonyWied, @PatronisFL, @RepTomBarrett, @RepGrothman, and @RepTiffany for joining me on this effort to reduce insurance costs and make our roads safer.”
