The Atlanta Falcons have announced their initial roster for the 2025 NFL regular season, following the conclusion of preseason activities. The team revealed its lineup on Tuesday, meeting the league’s 4 p.m. ET deadline for roster submissions.
The current roster consists of 52 players out of a possible 53. The breakdown includes 24 offensive players, 25 defensive players, and three special teams members.
At quarterback, Michael Penix Jr. and Kirk Cousins are listed. Running backs include Bijan Robinson, Tyler Allgeier, and Nathan Carter. The wide receiver group features Drake London, Darnell Mooney, Ray-Ray McCloud III, KhaDarel Hodge, Casey Washington, David Sills V, and Jamal Agnew.
Tight ends named to the roster are Kyle Pitts Sr., Charlie Woerner, Feleipe Franks, and Teagan Quitoriano. The offensive line includes Jake Matthews, Matthew Bergeron, Ryan Neuzil, Chris Lindstrom, Elijah Wilkinson, Jack Nelson, Jovaughn Gwyn, and Kyle Hinton.
On defense, the line is made up of David Onyemata, Brandon Dorlus, LaCale London, Ruke Orhorhoro, and Zach Harrison. Edge rushers are Arnold Ebiketie, Leonard Floyd, Jalon Walker, James Pearce Jr., Bralen Trice and DeAngelo Malone. Inside linebackers include Kaden Elliss, Divine Deablo JD Bertrand and Josh Woods.
The cornerback position is filled by A.J. Terrell Jr., Mike Hughes Billy Bowman Jr., Clark Phillips III Dee Alford Mike Ford Jr., and Natrone Brooks. Safeties Jessie Bates III Xavier Watts and DeMarcco Hellams round out the secondary.
Specialists for this season are kicker Younghoe Koo punter Bradley Pinion and long snapper Liam McCullough.
To reach this roster size by Tuesday’s deadline the Falcons released nine players waived thirteen others placed eight in injury-related categories released twelve earlier in preseason and put offensive lineman Jake Hanson on injured reserve without designation to return bringing their total down from seventy-seven before final cuts were made.
Players released included Jordan Fuller Ronnie Harrison C.J. Henderson Khalid Kareem Brandon Parker Easton Stick Kentavius Street Keith Taylor as well as Jake Hanson who was released from reserve/injured list with an injury settlement.
Those waived were Simeon Barrow Jr Henry Black Chris Blair Cobee Bryant Jashaun Corbin Dylan Drummond Joshua Gray Dontae Manning Nick Nash Joshua Simon Carlos Washington Jr Jordan Williams Lenny Krieg (International Player Pathway).
Some players were designated to return from reserve/injured status including Ta’Quon Graham (defensive lineman) Storm Norton (offensive lineman). Others remain on various lists: Kaleb McGary Grayland Arnold Emory Jones Tyrone Wheatley Jr Malik Verdon Troy Andersen among them due to injuries or non-football related reasons.
The team will be able to begin signing players to its practice squad starting Wednesday at noon ET.
