Former Walnut Grove High School standout Kaitlyn Johnson played on Thursday, May 15 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division II Softball Championship

On Thursday, May 15, former Walnut Grove High School standout Kaitlyn Johnson’s current collegiate team the North Georgia Nighthawks won 5-4 against the Francis Marion Patriots in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship.

The game took place at FMU Softball Stadium at 1 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Francis Marion Patriots in the tournament.

The North Georgia Nighthawks’ next game will take place on Friday, May 16 at 1 p.m. at FMU Softball Stadium.
