The Greater Henry County Chapter of SHRM has announced it will offer an in-person SHRM Learning System Certification Prep Class in 2025. This initiative aims to help HR professionals prepare for the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) exams.

Classes will be held at the Mercer University Regional Academic Center in McDonough, Georgia, from September 6 to October 25, 2025. The sessions are scheduled for Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Participants will have access to the SHRM Learning System, which provides personalized learning tailored to individual styles. The system includes practice questions and interactive tools designed to enhance exam readiness.

Latatia West, Certification Director of Greater Henry County SHRM, emphasized the benefits of certification: “Boost your confidence and recognition,” she said. She also highlighted that certification helps demonstrate mastery of essential competencies and knowledge as defined by the SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge (SHRM BASK).

The cost for Henry SHRM members is $890, while non-members will pay $1,090. The fee covers course materials and online resources but does not include the exam fee. Non-members are encouraged to join the chapter for cost savings.

A minimum of five participants is required for the class to proceed. Interested individuals must register and pay by August 22, 2025. For more information, contact Latatia West at latatia.west@doas.ga.gov.
