Local and state officials will attend a ribbon cutting ceremony for Kelleytown Senior, a new affordable housing community for seniors in Henry County. The event is scheduled for August 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at 3420 Highway 155 N in McDonough.

Kelleytown Senior was developed using funding from both state and federal Housing Tax Credit programs, as well as a $723,000 loan provided by Henry County through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. The project created more than 116 local jobs during its construction phase. The community consists of 64 affordable homes and eight market-rate homes designed for senior residents.

The building is three stories tall with elevator access and includes amenities such as on-site management, a business center, community room, fitness center, courtyard, and picnic area.

Representatives from the Henry County government, the Henry County Chamber of Commerce, Kelleytown Senior GP, Paladin Inc., Georgia Communities Inc., Affordable Equity Partners, Fairway Management, and Fairway Construction are expected to participate in the ceremony.
