Rep. Mike Collins, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 10th district since 2023, recently shared his views on various political matters through a series of tweets. Collins succeeded Jody Hice and has been an active participant in the political landscape, often voicing his opinions on policy and party unity.
On May 6, 2025, Collins expressed his concern over the influence of judges on immigration policy by stating “Unelected partisan judges should not have more power over American immigration policy than the President of the United States.”
Later that day, he highlighted his involvement with the Republican Study Committee, tweeting at 16:13 UTC about his pride in being part of this group. He emphasized their efforts to deliver tax cuts and prioritize “America First” policies: “Proud to be a part of the largest @RepublicanStudy in history and working with my colleagues to deliver the Trump Tax Cuts and secure America First wins for our country.”
In another tweet posted at 17:30 UTC, Collins criticized Republicans who oppose nominees from former President Trump. He urged party unity against Democrats: “Why the hell any Republican would oppose a Trump nominee is beyond me. You are blocking the will of the voters! Get out of the way! We need to be unified AGAINST democrats, not with them.”
Collins was born in Jackson, Georgia in 1967 and graduated from Georgia State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
