Rep. Mike Collins, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Georgia’s 10th District, actively shares his views on social media. His tweets reflect his stances on various community and national issues.

On May 2, 2025, Rep. Collins addressed a cultural shift in dining options by stating “They’re replacing Steak n Shake with a halal restaurant. This is equivalent to the Muslim conquest of Jerusalem in the 7th century.”

The following day, on May 3, 2025, he exchanged remarks with @epaleezeldin, expressing his commitment to reducing bureaucratic challenges for small businesses. “Great speaking with you today, @epaleezeldin. We’ve got a lot of work to do to cut down on the regulations that are holding our small businesses back, and I’m glad you’re at the helm of the EPA to get it done.”

Later on May 3, 2025, he directed criticism towards California’s handling of industrial permits, suggesting that the state’s shortcomings are not due to lack of capability. He stated “California’s failures are not a matter of ability, but willingness. The state’s leaders refuse to do what’s good for the state and our country. They need to issue permits and get out the way.”

Mike Collins, born in Jackson, Georgia in 1967 and holding a Bachelor of Arts from Georgia State University, has been representing Georgia’s 10th District since 2023.
