Rep. Mike Collins, who represents Georgia’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on March 21 and 22, 2026, covering topics from pop culture to immigration policy and scripture.
On March 21, Collins reflected on a significant moment in television history: “On this day in history in 1980, families across the country tuned in to America’s favorite prime-time drama “Dallas” only to watch J.R. Ewing get shot in the season finale. The cliffhanger sparked a nationwide phenomenon: for the next eight months, everyone wondered, ‘Who shot https://t.co/gNkxEJO6P7”.
Later that day, he commented on immigration policy with a critical view of Democratic lawmakers: “Democrats continue to choose criminal aliens over the American people.”
The following morning, Collins shared a biblical passage: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18.
Mike Collins has served as U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 10th District since replacing Jody Hice in 2023. He was born in Jackson, Georgia in 1967 and continues to reside there at age 55. Collins earned his BA from Georgia State University in 1990. In recent elections, he won against Lexy Doherty in 2024 with over sixty percent of the vote and previously defeated Tabitha Johnson-Green in 2022 by a similar margin.
