Rep. Mike Collins, currently serving Georgia’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on his social media account addressing public safety in Washington D.C., economic policies under President Trump, and commemorating Elvis Presley.
On August 15, 2025, Collins commented on security concerns for women in Washington D.C., stating, “It appears that some would rather there be homeless men harassing these young women waiting for Ubers instead of American heroes keeping them safe. Remember folks, if DC politicians prioritized public safety, federal law enforcement and the national guard would not be there.”
Later that day, he expressed support for former President Donald Trump’s economic agenda: “Trust the plan! President Trump proved in his first term, and now in his second, that his economic policies put more money in the pockets of American families.”
On August 16, 2025, Collins marked the anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death with a historical reflection: “On this day in history in 1977, Elvis Presley, the ‘King of Rock and Roll,’ died at 42. Elvis rose to fame in 1956 with Heartbreak Hotel and went on to dominate the charts under the management of Colonel Tom Parker. Drafted into the Army in 1958, he returned with hits like Are”
Collins has held office since replacing Jody Hice in 2023 as representative for Georgia’s 10th district. He secured election victories against Tabitha Johnson-Green in 2022 and Lexy Doherty in 2024.
