Rep. Mike Collins, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 10th district, posted a series of tweets on July 30 and 31, 2025, addressing economic policy and historical events.

On July 30, Collins commented on the state of the national economy under former President Donald Trump by stating: “Better than expected.” The Trump economy keeps rolling!

Later that day, he expressed support for recent legislative changes in Georgia related to tort reform. He wrote: I believe Tort Reform is the answer to so many economic challenges Americans face. Congratulations to @GovKemp and the Georgia legislators who did the hard work for policy that will make a difference in the lives of every Georgian! This statement referenced efforts by Governor Brian Kemp and state lawmakers aimed at altering civil litigation laws.

On July 31, Collins shared a historical reflection regarding ancient Rome: On this day in history in 30 BC, Marc Antony defeated Octavian in the Battle of Alexandria. Once allies, Antony and Octavian became rivals after Julius Caesar’s death. Tensions rose when Antony left Octavian’s sister for Cleopatra, sparking political backlash.

Collins has served as Georgia’s 10th district representative since replacing Jody Hice in 2023. He won his seat with over sixty percent of the vote both in 2022 against Tabitha Johnson-Green and again in 2024 against Lexy Doherty.
