Rep. Mike Collins, U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 10th district since 2023, posted a series of statements on his Twitter account addressing government funding, historical events, and economic policy.

On July 23, 2025, Collins commented on the issue of government support for information initiatives by stating: “A tragic loss for those who believe the government should be funding misinformation.”

The following day, July 24, he reflected on a significant moment in Cold War history: “On this day in history in 1959, Vice President Richard Nixon debated Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev in what is known as the Kitchen Debate. Collins has represented Georgia’s 10th District since succeeding Jody Hice in Congress and has been an active participant in legislative debates since taking office in 2023. Born in Jackson, Georgia in 1967 and a graduate of Georgia State University with a BA earned in 1990, Collins continues to reside in his hometown while serving his constituents.
