Rep. Mike Collins, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Georgia’s 10th district, shared a series of tweets on July 5 and 6, 2025. Collins, who succeeded Jody Hice in 2023, expressed his views on various topics ranging from cultural differences to border security and religious beliefs.

On July 5, 2025, Collins tweeted “The European mind could never comprehend.” The tweet suggests a perceived difference in understanding or mindset between Europeans and another group or perspective.

Later that day, he commented on immigration statistics by stating “May border crossings are down 92.6% compared to last year.” He attributed this decrease to actions taken by President Trump: “Not only is President Trump removing the illegal criminals that Biden let into our country, but he’s ended the incentive structure for cartels to import the third world across our border.” He concluded with confidence in the effectiveness of these measures: “The plan is working.”

On July 6, Collins shared a biblical verse from John: “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.” — 1 John 4:9 This reflects a personal or spiritual sentiment.

Mike Collins was born in Jackson, Georgia in 1967 and graduated from Georgia State University with a BA in 1990. He continues to reside in Jackson.
