On May 13, 2025, Rep. Collins highlighted the progress of legislative efforts in Washington, stating “Busy week in Washington. We’ve got three more committees that are wrapping up reconciliation, then the big, beautiful bill is one step closer to being on President Trump’s desk.” He encouraged followers to stay informed about the developments.

The following day, May 14, he commemorated a significant historical event by noting “On this day in history in 1804, a year after the Louisiana Purchase, Lewis and Clark led an expedition from St. Louis to explore the western U.S.” He remarked on their contributions to geographic knowledge and U.S. territorial claims.

Mike Collins was born in Jackson, Georgia in 1967 and holds a BA from Georgia State University obtained in 1990.
