Rep. Mike Collins, who represents Georgia’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of tweets highlighting law enforcement achievements and marking historical events.

On August 26, 2025, Collins commended law enforcement officials for their efforts in combating drug trafficking. He wrote, “Great work by @AGPamBondi and U.S. Attorney Keyes for getting nearly $1M of deadly drugs off the streets of Georgia. Operation Take Back America is working and our communities are getting safer by the day. “ The post referenced a recent operation aimed at removing illegal substances from local communities.

Later that same day, Collins shared another tweet containing two links but no accompanying text: “https://t.co/OjHdBuKPgI https://t.co/V1JfG9afN0” (August 26, 2025).

On August 27, 2025, Collins turned his attention to a significant historical event. He tweeted about the eruption of Krakatoa in Indonesia in 1883: “On this day in history in 1883, the most powerful volcano eruption in history occurred on an uninhabited, Indonesian island called Krakatoa. It is believed to have produced the loudest sounds ever recorded, heard 3,000 miles away. The explosion ejected five cubic miles of earth”.

Collins began serving as representative for Georgia’s 10th district after replacing Jody Hice in 2023 and has won consecutive elections against Lexy Doherty in 2024 and Tabitha Johnson-Green in 2022 with over sixty percent of the vote each time.
