Rep. Mike Collins, who represents Georgia’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of tweets highlighting his views on current political events and historical anniversaries.
On July 21, 2025, Collins wrote: “It’s been a great six months of having a president that:
Supports our farmers
️Invests in American energy
Strengthens our border
Grows our economy
This is just the start. Get ready, America.”
The following day, he marked a significant historical event by tweeting: “On this day in history in 2003, Saddam Hussein’s sons, Uday and Qusay, were killed by U.S. military forces.
Both sons, known for being brutal killers, went into hiding after the 2003 U.S. invasion. A $15 million reward led to their location, and they were killed in a shootout.” This post referenced the deaths of Uday and Qusay Hussein during the Iraq War.
Later on July 22, Collins posted: “The Trump effect https://t.co/dMdxKXeVtl” The tweet appears to reference former President Donald Trump’s influence but did not provide further context within the message itself.
Collins has served as the congressional representative for Georgia’s 10th District since 2023 after succeeding Jody Hice. He was born in Jackson, Georgia in 1967 and continues to reside there. Collins earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgia State University in 1990.
