Rep. Mike Collins, who represents Georgia’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, shared several posts on August 12, 2025, addressing topics ranging from paleontology to political commentary.
In his first post of the day, Collins highlighted a significant paleontological discovery: “On this day in history in 1990, the largest and most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil ever found was discovered near Faith, South Dakota. The skeleton, named Sue, was over 90% complete and well-preserved. Sue was eventually sold at a 1997 Sotheby’s auction to Chicago’s Field https://t.co/hBWJiXj4so” (August 12, 2025).
Later that afternoon, Collins posted a brief statement referencing legal accountability: “No one is above the law? https://t.co/4c09q6nvow” (August 12, 2025).
In his final tweet of the day, he commended colleagues for their efforts related to environmental policy: “Great work from @SBA_Kelly and @epaleezeldin rolling back the Green New Scam. https://t.co/KJhdWoJPnX” (August 12, 2025).
Collins has served as the congressional representative for Georgia’s 10th district since replacing Jody Hice in 2023. He secured his seat by defeating Tabitha Johnson-Green in the 2022 general election and Lexy Doherty in the 2024 general election.
