Rep. Mike Collins, who represents Georgia’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets reflecting on historical events, sports enthusiasm, and religious inspiration.

On November 1, 2025, Collins shared a post about a significant event in aviation history: “On this day in history in 1955, a bomb aboard United Airlines Flight 629 killed 44 people. The flight took off from Denver, bound for Portland. Just 11 minutes into the flight, the plane crashed near Longmont, killing all 39 passengers and five crew members. The following day, on November 2, 2025, Collins expressed support for his local sports team with a brief message: “W. Go Dawgs!! https://t.co/tnTf3yaDTB”.

Later that morning, he quoted scripture in another tweet: “But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love, for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.” — Psalm 59:16.

Collins has served as Georgia’s 10th district representative since replacing Jody Hice in 2023. He won re-election in both 2022 and 2024 by significant margins over Tabitha Johnson-Green and Lexy Doherty respectively.
