Rep. Mike Collins, who has represented Georgia’s 10th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, recently shared a series of posts on social media reflecting on significant political events and policy issues. Collins, born in Jackson, Georgia in 1967 and a graduate of Georgia State University, used his platform to address both historical anniversaries and current debates.
On July 13, 2025, Collins recalled the previous year’s Republican National Convention and the shooting of former President Donald J. Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. The president had been shot, but from the pain the shooter brought that day rose a message we hold in our hearts.
Fight! Fight! Fight!” (Posted July 13, 2025)
Later that same day, Collins commented on immigration policy by stating: “There are almost no aspects of American life that cannot be made better by ending illegal immigration.
Home prices
Traffic
Crime
Government spending
Wages
Our country is worth saving, and we should.” (Posted July 13, 2025)
On July 14, 2025, Collins marked Bastille Day by referencing its historical significance: “On this day in history in 1789, Revolutionaries in Paris stormed the Bastille, a royal fortress and prison seen as a symbol of tyranny, marking the start of the French Revolution.
