Rep. Mike Collins, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Georgia’s 10th district since 2023, recently took to social media to express his views on several issues.
On July 7, 2025, Collins commented on the federal government’s response to foreign threats by stating, “The federal government would not have to deploy against foreign invaders if you would just stop harboring them.” This statement reflects his perspective on immigration and national security.
The following day, July 8, 2025, he criticized a legal figure with a tweet that read: “Talwani, unsurprisingly, doesn’t understand the Constitutional authority of Congress.” This comment suggests a disagreement with judicial interpretations related to Congressional powers.
Also on July 8, Collins reflected on historical military leadership by recalling an event from the Korean War. He tweeted: “On this day in history in 1950, General Douglas MacArthur was appointed commander of United Nations forces in Korea, just weeks after North Korea’s invasion.” He highlighted MacArthur’s role and impact during World War II and the Korean conflict.
Mike Collins was born in Jackson, Georgia in 1967 and currently resides there. He graduated from Georgia State University in 1990 with a BA.
