Brantley County School System will extend the hybrid A/B school schedule through September 17

5

Brantley County Middle School issued the following announcement on Sept. 3

Due to the high number of cases of COVID in our community at this time, the Brantley County School System will extend the hybrid A/B school schedule through Friday, September 17th.  Our hope is that the COVID transmission rate will decrease very soon in our community and that all students will be able to return to school on a regular 5-day schedule on Monday, September 20th. Our goal is to get back to a normal schedule as soon as possible but to make sure the COVID spike is behind us before we do. Brantley County School officials will continue to consult with the GA Department of Health and local physicians to monitor the community spread of COVID 19 and to make informed school decisions. Thank you for your support of Brantley Schools and your patience during these very trying times.  If you have any questions regarding instruction or your child’s schedule, please contact your child’s school.

What can parents do to help?

1) Notify the school when you have a positive COVID case in your home as your child(ren) will likely need to quarantine as direct contacts.

2) Continue monitoring your child’s health each morning and do not send your child to school if your child has a fever, or you notice any new symptoms.

3) Review your children’s work to make sure they are keeping up with assignments and email your child’s teacher if you have any questions.
