The Emory Oxford men's tennis picked up where they left off after spring break with another victory. They defeated the Lions of Piedmont University 5-4. The Eagles are currently 4-3 for the season.
The Eagles picked up one win in doubles play with sophomore Frank Lu and freshman Tyler Yamato-Chang claiming an 8-7 (11-9) victory on court one.
In singles play, the Eagles won four out of six matches, starting with a victory on court one from freshman Zachary Ravel, who defeated his opponent 6-2, 1-6, 1-0 (10-8). Yamato-Chang would pick up the Eagles' third point with a 7-6 (7-1), 7-5, 1-0 (10-8) win on court two. Freshman Ryan Talano won on court six 6-0, 6-0. On court five, freshman Alexander Szymanski earned the clinching point for the Eagles, with a 6-3, 6-4 victory.
Up next, the Eagles will travel to Hartford, Maryland, to compete in the Hartford Invitational. They will be competing Saturday (3/26) and Sunday (3/27).
