Men' Soccer Claims First Win of the Season

The Emory Oxford men's soccer team picked up their first regular season win, defeating Andrew College on the road 5-1.

Sophomore Ryan Scholte led the Eagles with two goals. Freshman Will Farthing added one goal and one assist, while classmate Jisung Yoon scored one goal. Sophomore Carl Kassabian also scored for the Eagles.

The Eagles opened things up with a score by Scholte, which sophomore Maxwell Shumway assisted on. This was Scholte's fourth goal of the season. Before the half would end, Scholte would score another goal, this time assisted by Farthing.

In the second half, Andrew College scored their lone goal of the game to cut the lead to one. However, The Eagles would answer back when freshman Ian Klenk found Farthing, who netted his first of the season. Yoon would score the Eagles' fourth goal of the game after receiving a pass from fellow freshman Minghan Cui. Kassabian would wrap things up with one final score for the Eagles, assisted by freshman Haensel Kehoe.
