How many people were old enough to vote in Newton County during 2021?

Of the 111,262 citizens living in Newton County in 2021, 74% were old enough to vote, equating to 82,312 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 38,017 were male, constituting 46.2%, and 44,295 were female, making up 53.8%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Newton County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.2%.
