Rockdale County High School had the highest enrollment among Rockdale County schools, welcoming 2,346 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51% of them were male, and 49% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were Black, representing 73% of the Rockdale County High School total enrollment.

Among the 18 schools in Rockdale County, Heritage High School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,817 students, while Salem High School welcomed 1,090 students to be ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Rockdale County High School is part of Rockdale County School District, which generally encompasses schools within Rockdale County, with its main office in Conyers.

In the previous school year, Rockdale County High School also had the highest number of students among Rockdale County schools.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
