A cousin of 1996 NL MVP and three-time All-Star Ken Caminiti, Cam Caminiti, will look to be the family's second successful MLB player after being drafted 24th overall by the Braves on Sunday. However, Caminiti was not the only player selected with a notable relative.
Here is a look at notable 2024 draftees with legacies in baseball or other fields, listed in order of their selection:

**Player:** Cam Caminiti, LHP, Saguaro HS (Ariz.) (No. 15 prospect)
**Drafted:** 24th overall, Braves
**Relative:** Ken Caminiti (cousin, 15 MLB seasons)
Ken played both football and baseball at San Jose State before embarking on a 15-season MLB career as a third baseman, primarily with the Astros. He earned three All-Star selections and three Gold Glove awards. His best season was in 1996 with the Padres when he had career highs in home runs (40) and RBIs (130), earning NL MVP honors. Ken died in 2004 before Cam was born but also spent time with the Braves, playing 64 games for Atlanta in his final big-league season in 2001.

**Drafted:** 27th overall, Phillies
**Relatives:** Micah Nori (father, NBA assistant coach), Fred Nori (former baseball player and coach)
Micah played college baseball at Indiana but has found success in basketball as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Dante’s grandfather Fred also coached baseball at Indiana and helped recruit Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber.

**Drafted:** 47th overall, Pirates
**Relative:** Chance Sanford (father, two MLB seasons)
Chance was drafted by the Pirates twice and appeared in 19 MLB games as a utility man—14 for the Pirates in 1998 and five for the Dodgers in 1999. He hit six-for-36 during his MLB career. Now his son Wyatt will have an opportunity to follow his footsteps with Pittsburgh.

**Drafted:** 57th overall, Brewers
**Relatives:** Justin Meccage (uncle, Pirates bullpen coach), Jeremy Meccage (father, former baseball player and coach)
Justin had a brief Minor League career with the Yankees and has served various roles on the Pirates’ staff since 2018. Bryce’s father Jeremy is currently coaching at Princeton after being drafted twice by the Dodgers.
**Player:** Billy Amick, 3B, Tennessee (No.32 prospect)
**Drafted:**60th overall,Twins
**Relative: Lyndon Amick(father ,former NASCAR driver)
Lyndon competed from1996-2003 primarily racing NASCAR's second-tier circuit which was then known as Busch Series(currently Xfinity Series). After retiring from racing,Lyndon enlisted South Carolina Army National Guard serving Afghanistan completing service2011.
