The Falcons have ruled inside linebacker Nate Landman out of Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Landman has been working through a quad injury since the final weeks of the preseason, and though he was limited through Week 1's preparation, he was given the all-clear to play in last Sunday's loss to the Steelers. He played in 54% of the team's defensive snaps and made a crucial 4th-and-1 stop in Atlanta territory in the fourth quarter.

However, as Week 2 got underway, the Falcons were without Landman, adding a calf issue to his injury description.

As the week progressed, Landman did not participate in any practice from Thursday to Saturday. By the time game designations were announced Saturday, it came as little surprise when the Falcons officially ruled Landman out with a calf/quad injury.

At inside linebacker, the Falcons will continue to rely on starters Kaden Elliss and Troy Andersen with rookie JD Bertrand playing a key role in depth. The Falcons do not have a true inside linebacker on the practice squad at present, but it was reported by NFL Network's Mike Garafolo this week that the Falcons worked out veteran linebackers Kwon Alexander, Rashaan Evans, and Josh Woods on Friday.

Without further movement, the Falcons would carry three healthy inside linebackers to Philadelphia Monday.

In other injury report news, the Falcons have decided to hold out defensive back Antonio Hamilton Sr. for the second game in a row. It appears that Hamilton is trending in a better direction with his groin injury. After not participating in practice late last week or at the start of practices this week, he was elevated to be a limited participant Friday and Saturday.

Offensive tackle Kaleb McGary (groin) and running back Jase McClellan (knee) were also elevated from limited participants Friday to full participants Saturday. Neither were given a game designation.
