Collins commemorated an event from World War II history: "On #ThisDayInHistory in 1945 at 2:10 p.m., five U.S. Navy Avenger torpedo-bombers, part of Flight 19, took off from Ft. Lauderdale Naval Air Station in Florida for a routine training mission and disappeared inside the Bermuda Triangle."
At 1:35 p.m., he commented on political appointments, questioning the Senate's confirmation votes with "In what world should Lloyd Austin get 93 votes for confirmation, and Hegseth not get 50. Step up, Senate GOP."
Later that day at 5:34 p.m., Collins addressed federal work attendance policies with "Only 6% of federal workers are in the office full time. Get in the office or get out."
