The Atlanta Falcons have announced the re-signing of offensive lineman Elijah Wilkinson. This move comes after Wilkinson's limited appearances in the 2024 season, where he played in two games for the Falcons. His participation was primarily on special teams, with eight total snaps across a win against the New Orleans Saints and a loss to the Denver Broncos. Wilkinson also had one offensive snap during the game against Denver.

Wilkinson's history with the Falcons includes starting nine games at left guard in 2022. During that season, he played every offensive snap in those games, contributing to an average of 22 points per game for the team. After leaving Atlanta for a stint with the Arizona Cardinals in 2023, where he started nine out of ten games and achieved his third career fumble recovery, Wilkinson returns to bolster Atlanta's line.

Prior to his time with Arizona and Atlanta, Wilkinson spent four seasons with the Denver Broncos from 2017 to 2020 and one season with the Chicago Bears in 2021. His most active NFL season was in 2019 when he started twelve out of fifteen games for Denver.

Entering his ninth NFL season as an undrafted free agent, Wilkinson is now thirty years old and stands at six-foot-six inches tall while weighing 314 pounds.

With this re-signing, all but one member of Atlanta's starting offensive line from last year remains intact. Center Drew Dalman has reportedly signed with the Chicago Bears as a free agent. The rest of the lineup consists of tackle Jake Matthews, guard Matthew Bergeron, guard Chris Lindstrom, and tackle Kaleb McGary.
