Representative Mike Collins, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Georgia’s 10th district since 2023, recently shared several updates via social media on topics ranging from local recreational management to legislative actions and historical events.
On July 10, 2025, Collins highlighted a visit to Lake Lanier with representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District. He stated, “Great to be at Lake Lanier with @USACEMobile to talk about how to keep Lake Lanier’s recreational areas open and sufficiently staffed for Georgians and everyone who comes to our parks. The mission: more government efficiency for you.”
In another post dated July 11, 2025, Collins referenced legislative activity in Congress by noting, “Passing 12 appropriations bills.”
Also on July 11, 2025, Collins commented on a significant event in American history. He wrote, “On this day in history in 1804, Aaron Burr shot Alexander Hamilton in a duel. Mike Collins was born in Jackson, Georgia in 1967 and continues to reside there. He graduated from Georgia State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
