This year’s campaign is “It’s OK to Ask for Help” – has two major goals: to provide immediate help for young people who may be suffering from anxiety, depression or suicidal thoughts and to focus the community’s attention on the national and local epidemic of mental health challenges, particularly during the pandemic.
Suicide prevention is important every day of the year. National Suicide Prevention Month gives AHS an opportunity to shine a special, encouraging light on this topic that affects us all, and send a clear, hopeful message that help is available, and suicide can be prevented. The AHS Social Worker, Counselors and Summit Counseling are here to listen, talk to us.
