Rep. Mike Collins, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Georgia's 10th district, shared several tweets on January 30, 2025, concerning a crash at DCA and a historical event involving former President Andrew Jackson.

In his first tweet on January 30, 2025, Rep. Collins expressed concern over an incident at DCA: "We’re still waiting for more information about tonight’s crash at DCA. Please pray for the first responders and everyone involved as we wait for more information."

Later that day, he posted about a historical event: "On #ThisDayInHistory in 1835, Andrew Jackson became the first U.S. president to survive an assassination attempt. Richard Lawrence, an unemployed painter, tried to shoot Jackson as he was leaving a funeral at the Capitol. However, his gun misfired."

In another tweet from January 30, 2025, Rep. Collins conveyed sympathy regarding the aftermath of the DCA crash: "Unimaginable loss. Thinking of and praying for the families of those who are mourning loved ones who perished in last night’s crash at DCA. Looking forward to the results of the NTSB and FAA investigations so we can get to the bottom of this and ensure it doesn’t happen again."
