The popular Sea Lion Splash attraction is set to return to Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS) for the Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart weekend from June 26-28. This announcement comes after the sea lions' successful debut during Atlanta’s spring NASCAR weekend, where they were a major draw for fans.
"The Sea Lion Splash was the buzz of the Fan Zone in the spring so we’re thrilled they’ll be back this summer," said AMS Executive Vice President and General Manager Brandon Hutchison. The event showcases rescued sea lions performing tricks and interacting with guests, adding an engaging element to the race weekend.
In addition to the sea lion show, fans attending the Quaker State 400 weekend will have access to various attractions in the Fan Zone, including the Speedway Experience Powered by EchoPark Automotive, a Kids Zone, and appearances by NASCAR drivers. These activities are available free of charge.
The racing action includes night races on Friday and Saturday nights, June 27 and 28. The NASCAR Xfinity Series will start with the Focused Health 250 on Friday night. On Saturday night, June 28, NASCAR's top drivers will compete in the Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart. This event marks AMS's first-ever Saturday night NASCAR Cup Series race.
A new feature this year is NASCAR’s $1 million In-Season Tournament, which begins at AMS with a bracket-style elimination format involving 32 drivers.
More details about ticket availability and additional information can be found on Atlanta Motor Speedway's website.
