Rep. Mike Collins, a current U.S. Congress member representing Georgia's 10th district since 2023, expressed his views on various topics via social media on March 26, 2025. A graduate of Georgia State University and a resident of Jackson, Georgia, Collins brought attention to several issues through his statements.
On March 26, 2025, Collins remarked on National Public Radio, noting his dissatisfaction with the network since the removal of the program Car Talk. Collins stated, "NPR hasn’t been listenable since Car Talk was taken off the air in 2012. The Magliozzi brothers were the last remnants of blue collar America on a network that has become a taxpayer-funded misinformation weapon against the American people."
In a separate tweet on the same day, Collins expressed his condolences to the families affected by a military training accident. He tweeted, "My heart is with the families of the four Fort Stewart soldiers killed in a training exercise in Lithuania today. As we wait for further details, keep their loved ones in your prayers."
Additionally, Collins addressed issues faced by the trucking industry, specifically the impact of trial lawyers. He voiced his concern, stating "Trial lawyers are driving up the costs of every item truckers move and are bankrupting small trucking companies. No wonder nobody wants to get into this business. Americans need tort reform NOW!"
