He tweeted, "I'm proud to lead the Staged Accident Fraud Protection Act w/ @RepBrandonGill to protect innocent truck drivers from con artists who stage crashes seeking a payday. This drives up insurance costs for truckers which get passed onto consumers. Prosecute these criminals accordingly!"

Later, Rep. Collins articulated his stance on tax policy, lauding previous tax cuts. He stated, "President Trump's tax cuts were rocket fuel for manufacturing in America. Letting them expire is non-negotiable."
