Director of Attendance Improvement
In their November 17 meeting, the Fulton County Board of Education approved Charity Trowbridge as the new Director of Attendance Improvement. Charity has over 16 years of experience working with youth and school age students and has worked in the Fulton County School System for the last 2 1/2 half years as the Coordinator of School Social Work Services.
Charity has a wealth of at-risk youth, school and central office leadership experience as an adolescent behavior coordinator and counselor, a school social worker, an assistant principal and as a district level coordinator. She has led numerous attendance improvement efforts here in Fulton such as Locate, Assess and Connect (LAC) to reconnect students during the pandemic, implementing a district-wide MTSS framework for attendance interventions, led our social emotional school social work team and crisis supports, established and facilitated an attendance improvement team, implemented a district-wide tiered school work support plan, and served as the district’s liaison for Juvenile Court, DCFS and a plethora of community mental health partner agencies.
