Rep. Mike Collins, serving as a U.S. Congress member for Georgia's 10th district, engaged his audience with a series of tweets critical of recent events and behaviors he attributes to his political opponents. Since assuming office in 2023, succeeding Jody Hice, Collins has been an outspoken representative on social media platforms.
On April 16, 2025, Collins expressed bewilderment over events described as “Democrat field trips.” Referring to what he perceived as "incredibly weird behavior," he shared, "Same energy. Incredibly weird behavior from Democrat field trips."
Later the same day, he hinted at having a new, unspecified proposal or plan. This was evident when he posted, "I have an idea."
In his final post on April 16, 2025, Rep. Collins questioned the necessity of what he implies was an environmentally costly action by fellow Congressman Chris Van Hollen. He criticized Van Hollen’s actions, commenting that "This is who @ChrisVanHollen wasted jet fuel and increased global warming for?"
Collins, born in Jackson, Georgia, in 1967 and a Georgia State University alumni, continues to maintain his residence in Jackson.
