The Atlanta Falcons have emerged as the only NFL team with two wide receivers, Drake London and Darnell Mooney, each surpassing 500 receiving yards this season. Through eight weeks, London has accumulated 525 yards, while Mooney has reached an even 500.

"Really, we're on a tandem bike," London remarked about their partnership. "Honestly, whatever we can do to make the team better, whatever we can do to make explosive plays or just make secure plays, we're definitely doing that, and we're trying to keep on reaching new heights every day."

Their combined efforts have propelled the Falcons to lead in at least one offensive category in the league. The Houston Texans follow closely with Nico Collins at 567 yards and Stefon Diggs at 496; however, Diggs is sidelined for the rest of the season due to a torn ACL. The Baltimore Ravens trail behind with Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman accumulating 527 and 422 yards respectively.

Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson praised both players: "Both guys, first and foremost, are very smart football players, very unselfish, willing to do whatever it takes to win the game." He highlighted their complementary skills which provide multiple strategic options for the team.

London joined Atlanta in 2022 as an eighth-overall draft pick. With a current average of 65.6 yards per game entering Week 9, he is projected to achieve over 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career. Mooney was acquired during the offseason after spending four years with the Chicago Bears. He averages 62.5 receiving yards per game and is also on track for over 1,000 yards by season's end.

Falcons head coach Raheem Morris commented on their contrasting styles: "Drake is the big-body mover... But when you went out and got Mooney... wanting a need for speed."

Together they account for nine of Atlanta's fourteen receiving touchdowns this season—London scoring five and Mooney four—and contribute significantly to their team's current record of five wins against three losses.

"It's amazing," London expressed regarding his collaboration with Mooney. "I learn every day from him... Honestly, we're working together."
